Sometimes a change of perspective is all it takes to see the light.

Dan Brown

I’m a psychologist with a clinical specialization and a pedagogue. I work individually and in groups with children with pervasive development disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, adaptation difficulties, anxiety disorders, low self-esteem and relationship difficulties; adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety disorders, emotional crises, sleep disorders, relationship difficulties, psychosomatic disorders; educational and behavioural difficulties (parents).

I have gained experience during numerous clinical internships (FDDS, ZLŚ, ŚDS) and during my professional work in the preschool and school environment, as well as in the clinic and private practice. I am constantly improving my qualifications by taking part in trainings organized both in Poland and abroad. At work, I try to approach my clients holistically, believing that the achieved changes affect the overall functioning of the person. I believe in the client’s agency, so I try to accompany the changes that take place during our meetings. Using many approaches, I try to find the right path that will positively affect finding a balance in life. In the course of work, I use therapeutic methods such as: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Schema Therapy, Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and Social Skills Training (SST).

I am currently working on-line. I work in both Polish and English.

Tools

Schema Therapy
In Schema Therapy we will work to uncover and understand your schemas (unhelpful patterns). These schemas can affect you throughout life and, if not addressed, can contribute to problematic coping methods and behaviours. Schema therapy’s aim is to teach you how to ensure your emotional needs are met in a healthy way that doesn’t cause distress.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy allows you to accept everything what is out of your control and teaches you commitment actions that improve your life. The aim is to live to the fullest, have rich and meaningful life that goes in line with your values. During this therapy we will increase psychological flexibility, ability to be in present moment, right here and right now, engaging in experience. Be Present, Open Up, Do What Matters – that’s the core of such therapy.

Mindfulness
Mindfulness is the act of purposely paying attention to all elements of your experience with an attitude of open acceptance, non- judgment and compassion. In mindfulness techniques the aim is to allow your feelings to be as they are; to stop trying to control or alter them. During mindfulness session we will learn how to help you act calmly while accepting your feelings, no matter how upset, anxious or stressed you are.

Applied Behavioral Analysis Therapy (ABA) for Autism
ABA Therapy is often described as the “gold standard” for autism. Therapy may reduce symptoms, improve cognitive ability and daily living skills, and maximize the ability of the child to function and participate in the community. During sessions we will try to improve social, communication, and learning skills through positive reinforcement.

Social Skills Training (SST)
Social Skills Training is a type of therapy that works to help improve your social skills so you can become socially competent. Social skills refer to the communication skills that allow people to interact effectively and appropriately with others. In SST we can work on verbal and nonverbal communication, active listening, empathy, conflict resolution, working with others and many others.
